No one could have anticipated the impact that the Internet would have on IT systems. Today, it is all about uptime, and uptime now mean twenty four hours a day seven days a week. This presentation will cover key topics to consider in planning and implementing High Availability solutions in a distributed systems environment including: High Availability vs. Fault Tolerance - the differences and the misconceptions Mark Limbert is the director of High Availability Solutions for Lighthouse Computer Services, Inc. in Lincoln, Rhode Island. He is currently responsible for evaluating new technology and developing availability solutions for new and existing customers. He works with a services team to implement IT projects that businesses rely upon for their very survival. Mark has been involved with designing and implementing high availability solutions for eight out of his ten years in the information systems field. |
