Storage Networking - The Future is
Here
Speaker: Harold Pike - IBM Storage Networking
In this e-commerce economy, it is no secret that data is business. Because of the
increased dependence on information, the storage needs of companies are growing
exponentially. Research shows that storage needs for brick-and-mortar companies are
doubling every year, and every 90 days for dot coms. This growth raises new concerns for
the maintenance and protection of valuable data resources. Businesses need to be able to
grow quickly and without disruption. How can you protect your current IT investments and
still be in a position to exploit new features and technologies as they become available.
Storage is evolving; Variations (and associated acronyms) for storage networking seem to
be materializing out of thin air faster than they can be tracked. Storage networking
offers significant capabilities and flexibilities not previously available, and
understanding the technology is essential to making the best choices. It is important to
understand the storage alternatives you can select from to build the infrastructure
appropriate for you. This presentation is a must for all CIO, CTO, Directors and Network
Mangers.
