April 17, 2003 Meeting How to Plan a Successful Job Search Strategy Speaker: Brendan King, President, King Bishop Inc Please join the Association of Information Technology Professionals for an evening with Brendan King of King Bishop. For over twenty years, King and Bishop has supported companies and their employees through transition brought on by corporate restructuring. Brendan has over fifteen years of Operations Management and Business Development experience in the areas of Human Resources Management, Consulting and Business Development. In his most recent role, Brendan is a Managing Partner at King & Bishop and is responsible for both strategic initiatives for corporate operations as well as the functional management for the Management Consulting Practice. Brendan will cover the following seven topics related to the job search.
Brendan will also share some data about the job market, employment trends and share some insight into the short term/long term employment scene in the United States. About Brendan King Upon joining King & Bishop, Brendan's responsibility included full life cycle recruiting in support of all practice areas within the firm. Following this role, Brendan became the Vice President of Consulting Services supporting the Contract Services Practice. In this role, Brendan drove sales initiatives, developed strong client relations and forged strategic alliances with associate vendors and affinity groups. Prior to joining King & Bishop, Brendan was a Program Manager for GTE Government Systems Corporation, a leader in the development of secure communication networks for commercial and military applications. In that role, Brendan held functional responsibility for Human Resources assessment and evaluation for all United States Air Force, National Security Agency and United States Navy programs. Brendan's early experience includes research and individual contributor roles at Equifax Credit Services and Scandinavian Design Inc. He earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in Business Administration and Criminal Justice from Northeastern University. |
