We've all heard Lotus Notes and other packages touted as "GroupWare" that can change the way people can work together. This month's presentation will define the industry term "GroupWare" and will illustrate types of these applications that can benefit your organization. GroupWare is a powerful addition to your corporate network. We'll talk about both the strengths and the limitations of GroupWare - what problems will it solve, and what problems need another solution?
What should a company do if it is interested in making an investment in GroupWare? We'll talk about the major players, return on investment, and we'll see a demonstration of an actual GroupWare Application in Lotus Notes. This will provide attendees with a hands-on understanding of how GroupWare can help enhance business communication.
Ted Reall is the Senior Technical Manager of Reall World Systems, Inc., an independent application development firm. Reall World Systems provides turnkey solutions to automate tasks and enhance group communications. In his current role, Ted develops applications in Notes, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, VBA, and C. Ted has developed and supported multiple Lotus Notes applications affecting thousands of users.
